Having issues with Skyrim's framerates with a GeForce 550ti graphics card.
Just did a fresh install on the driver (320.49).
Settings are set according to NVIDIA's optimals from the website, mostly high presets with 4x AA and 16xAF.
My issue is that I only get about 25-30fps. I thought it might be a processor bottleneck (AMD Phenom II x6 1045t with stock 2.7ghz), so I overclocked it to 3.4ghz. Core temps don't exceed 60 degrees on a prime95 torture test and the whole system is stable.
Skyrim still has bad fps. Not really sure what to do at this point, there is no reason I shouldn't be getting at least 45fps
Any ideas?
Should also clarify that my motherboard is an Asus M5A97 and I'm running 8GB DDR3 Dual Channel RAM.
EDIT: Something is definitely wrong...I tried playing it on the low preset just to see what would happen...only getting 35fps. Max. I don't even know man.
