There is a 500W power supply on newegg:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817159124&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=
It is only $25, but honestly you need a whole system upgrade everything is outdated, throwing in a new GPU won't help much if at all.

im living in dunedin. thanks for the help i've bought the card and psu now and they work fine. there does however seem to be an issue with my old motherboard now and its a pretty strange one. the computer wont detect the graphics card like 95% of the time and when i does the system works fine its only when i shut down the computer it goes back to onboard graphics. it appears that by disconnecting power to the motherboard and processor and then reconnecting them temporarily fixes it. ill probably just leave my computer running all the time until i can get a new mobo. the funny thing is when i took my computer to the local computer store they tested other cards in my system and the problem didnt appear to exist, also my card in one of theirs worked fine too.
