Hey guys, I recently came in to a problem where my computer would start normally but then slow down over time. My CPU usage would jump around 50% to 100% just opening chrome. Then it would start freezing up, and becoming unresponsive then crashing. I scanned for virus with Eset NOD32 and Malwarebytes and nothing came up. This was not an overnight thing.. I was using my computer no problem - went to the gym and came back to a really slow computer.
Things I have tried:
Scanning for viruses with Eset NOD32 and Malwarebytes in safe mode.
Booting a different OS
Checking the temps (all normal)
Google (no luck)
Specs:
Windows 7
Core i5-3570k @ 3.40GHz
GTX 680
12GB Ram
Z77X-UD5H mobo
Corsair AX750 PSU
I have 3 internal hard drives, 2 solid states and 1 disk.
I am ashamed to admit it, but I can't figure our what the problem is. Any help is greatly appreciated.
P.S. I hope this is the right forum, as I assume it is the CPU that is the problem.
