I need a gaming desktop for under 1000$ that will run next Gen games I would need a pre built system I dont have a clue how to build one myself

Solution
Since you dont know a lot, overclocking will not be an issue, nor sli-Xfire. As for gpu, again either 7970 Radeon or 670/680/770 Nvidia. As for cpu a 4-core intel i5 should do it for you. An intel i5-3350p for example will save you money on the motherboard as well so as to invest as much possible to the gpu. Just make sure its 4 cores.

Hi there,

My advice, dont get a pre built. Start googling-reading various here and there articles and watch some youtube videos on how-to-build a gaming PC to get familiar with all the basic connections. After that it really depends on the selection of components and your ability to understand them- basically the connections are the same..
However if you are unsure on how to do all these why dont you ask someone, a friend maybe that has built his own rig or pay someone (that its his job) to build your PC. As far as the components 1000$ will get you a decent gaming PC. Personally I have built 4 1000-2000$ desktops for me and a friend of mine only by doing these stuff and its really rewarding. I remember when we got to my place and built 2 identical gaming PCs some years ago that we would use to play online fps games.. It was really fun and the result was perfect! We made sure that all parts were ok with each other and never had problems, except for a case that it proved to be a faulty component that was replaced the same day I realized it was bad.
The only downfall is that you need time, if you cant afford the time, then keep asking. I'm sure someone will suggest you a decent pre-build. Make sure it has a good graphics card tough. Thats what you need for games. A Radeon 7970 or Nvidia 670 or 680 or 770 GTX for example will give you next gen games at 1080p high-ultra settings.

Cheers

That my problem I dont have the time to do all the research or put it all together.. I'm just wondering what kind of CPU and GPU I will need to look for in a pre built system that will be able to run games that will be coming out on the ps4/xbox1

It will, maybe not on the highest possible settings but for sure it will. I you decide to get it try to find out if it can support SLI. Its a technology that allows you to put a second 760, that way after a couple years you can upgrade and still play all the new games with high settings (PC versions of games have various resolution and detail settings in every game so as to be playable even by a lot weaker set-ups).

Your better off getting a i5 4670k CPU and using the extra money on the gpu or an Ssd or aftermarket cooler. Myself right now get the fastest gpu you can and a good power supply with it. If you thinking of adding another 760 gpu latter get an 850w ps.

From the beginning I suggested an i5, as the extra cost of i7 doesnt't justify your gaming purposes. i5 with 2x760s is better for gaming than i7 with one 760 of course. However that differs from my initial suggestion that was to get an i5 with one STRONG gpu. 2X760s in SLI will perform very well but as smorizio said you need stronger PSU to support everything.
