My gpu is the GTX 770 and i only have $300for a monitor, i want my GTX 770 to look the best, if a good monitor cannot be found, find a monitor best for the 7950 or a similar card.

This is a new setup im building, all of the components is already in my shopping cart, my cpu is i5-4670k, if that helps, but i am willing to downgrade my GPU to the Vapor X 7950 or a similar GPU if a good monitor cannot be found for the GTX 770. I want the 770 to look its best.

And how much do you care about response times? IPS monitors look much better than TN, but are less responsive (usually 6-8ms for IPS vs 1-5ms for TN).

If you don't care as much (I never noticed a difference even when playing CS/CS:GO), then I would recommend either the: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... (but I should warn you that its latest batch has been faulty, however, it does have usb 3.0 ports)

or: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... (this one comes with a $50 off promo code ending today)

I personally have the Dell one and it looks fantastic. I have an Asus monitor (TN) as well and it looks great, just not as great. Asus is a reputable brand.

EDIT: I would go with this over the Asus model I previously suggested if you don't care about usb 3.0 ports

It's possible to have both! Forget these manufacturer-quoted response times. They're meaningless. I can show you an 8ms panel hugely outperforming a 6ms if you need evidence of that. What you want is an IPS or PLS panel with an effective RTC overdrive. Then you'll get exceptional pixel response without sacrificing colour quality. ASUS does this best with Trace Free so the PA248Q recommended is an excellent choice. It is indeed expensive but if you drop to a 23" then you can get an equal quality, equal speed and almost equal size display for much less money (that extra inch is expensive!). For 23" I'd recommend the PA238Q, PB238Q or MX239H (really sleek design too on that one).

Absolutely. Just a larger size of the same. It'll cost you though - fair bit of added expense for that extra inch. It is a really excellent 24"er though - I'd highly recommend it. By the way, set the Trace Free option to 40. That will give you the absolute best results.

Haha that's nuts! Where I am, 24" is almost double the price. You've either got an amazing deal on the 24" or (much more likely) a really bad price on the 23".

on amazon the PA248q will sell for $275 and the PA238q will sell for $345 but it says the PA238q is a super IPS monitor

Nah that PA248Q is a very good deal and the PA238Q... something just went wrong there with the price. It should be around $200.

Seems about right to me? Which one do you feel you get more/less spending here? It's a high-quality but not over-priced GPU with a high-quality but not over-priced monitor.

Hey bro,

I'd really like to have your expert advise on the below 4 displays for GTX 770. I'm completely lost and haven't been able to make up my mind for quite some time now.

Asus VE247H (TN) => http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Asus VS239H-P (IPS) => http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Dell S2340L (IPS) => http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Asus VW246H (it's probably non-LED backlit and discontinued but I could get a good used one) => http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

If these are not good for GTX 770, then I'd really look forward to your suggestions on anything around $250.

Thanks a lot for your help bro.
