Yes it will, I even slapped my 7950 into a Asos P5KPL = Q6600 5 year old Computer.

No problems at all.

Thanks DragonChase - thought it would be ok but the info out there between mb and gpu manufacturers is about as clear as mud! Installing the card on thursday so will post back as to progress

What are your Specs by the way? out of curiosity! I ran all games on Ultra on that old rig of mine with 2gb ram LOL.

Only bioshock infinite crashed every 2-3 hours, was just a test how an old system would run with a newer GPU.

Glad i could share my experience with you.

Specs as below - built early 2010 so I'm due for an upgrade ;-) - been running just about everything on ultra but the old fella's feeling the pace a bit more these days. It's a gaming HTPC so does a lot beside gaming and has to be quiet as it's under the telly. Most of the media is fed from a Linux server with a raspberry PI upstairs to receive for the bedroom telly etc....
