Weird flashing lines on my screen?

Hi everyone!

For a while now I have noticed that while gaming, there appears to be some strange things happening with the image. It looks almost as if the frame has been cut in two and one of the halves has been offset slightly, and this travels from the top to the bottom of the screen. This only happens whilst panning the camera though. Is there any explenation for this?

My system specs can be found by hovering over my avatar.

I have all the latest drivers, etc. installed.

If more information is required, I would be happy to oblige. Thanks!

Ahh, I know what you mean now. =)

That's a good point actually, I'll have to take a look when I get home. I believe the Nvidia Control Panel defaults to SFR? In which case I shall change it to AFR. If this doesnt help however, what else could I try, just out of interest?

Hi! Apologies for the late reply!

Unfortunately, I didnt have time last night to check the rendering mode settings. I shall definatly try tonight though!

So you're saying the SLI bridge could be faulty? Or not attached properly? I do have it attached properly, that's for sure. And the PCI-e slots shouldnt have anything wrong with them. The motherboard was new about 4 months ago. I shall try the rendering mode thing and if that doesnt work I'll post back here. =)

Ahh, I see. Well I'm just using the SLI bridge that came with my mobo. I havent noticed any problems that could be directly related to the SLI bridge Per Se, obviously some games scale better than others with SLI. How would I go about testing the SLI bridge?

Extremly sorry for the late reply!

A few things have happened since my last reply, so here we go...

I tried setting the rendering mode to alternate frame rendering 1 + 2 (In the Nvidia Control Panel), but I had to revert back to 'Nvidia Recommended' as for some reason I had unbelieveable frame rate drops. E.g, The new Tomb Raider Game, I easily average between 100-130FPS, but with alternate frame rendering enabled, this drops to an average of 40-50? Very strange...

Also, unfortunatly I cannot go on my PC for ahile now, as my monitor decided to break. I wanted it moving back slightly, and so a pushed from the base and the top middle of the screen and apparently this slight amount of pressure is enough to completely crack the screen so...=P For this reason any other suggestions you have will not be tried until I can get a new monitor, or find a temporary one. This could take a while.

But if you do have any other suggestions please carry on and list them, as they will be tried out as soon as possible. =)
