PC Gaming Vs Console Gaming?

Solution
What about your build? It will run just about anything blisteringly fast that's released for pc. It obviously won't run exclusives at all. So, as stated above, where are the games going to be that you want to play and are you happy with 30fps and 1080p on from a console? They're different user experiences and each has its place.

This question has been asked a million times on here. Your going to get fanboys on either side that cant objectively see the benefits of the other side. Its all about personal preference, and how much money you want to spend up front on hardware.

What is your idea of better? PC gaming lets you run at higher resolution/setings, mod games, use mouse/keyboard, etc. The downside is the cost and, for some, tinkering with settings and drivers and stuff to make it work. Consoles are simple and have a cheaper initial cost, PC games can be much cheaper if you are patient. If you combine the cost of your computer, console, tv, and games into a gaming desktop it will easily be cheaper than buying a console+computer.

A small nuisance if you will, consoles get exclusive titles first. Sometimes they never leave the console. Skyrim was a good example, since it was an exclusive pc users had to wait I think it was 3 months for release. Otherwise, PC gaming has alot of advantages as well. Example, BF3 on console, max people is 32, PC 64, more people more bang bang. Overall I prefer PC gaming, but it does have costs. If your patient and have money I think the better experience is on PC.

ok i know that SLI 4gb 770 is abit overkill i will be gaming on a LG 55inch LED TV at 1920*1080 but i have the cash to build that system with the SLI no problem for abit of future proofing (won a BIG bet) :) and i have always been hardcore console and have always wanted a really good gaming PC just to see what i have been missing and thought now is the time to do it! if anything basically all i am bothered about is the visual aspect of PC vs console will the SLI 770 4gb smash the PS4 graphics into the ground? that is my main question really

A gaming console is designed for GAMING. A PC is not. This fact became abundantly clear with my PC rig as it required constant maintenance. I prefer consoles since they have better performance out of the box...just plop the game in and go. PC gaming is a thing of the past for me.

PS and XBOX will out perform most "builds" for a fraction of the cost with zero of the headache. IMO the era of PC gaming should have ended with the Commodore 64. The only reason I went with a PC was because I could not get FS on a console.
