I am retiring my 2 XFX 6850 BE for a Gigabyte 7950 and I was curious if I could crossfire it with my Cougar CMX 700 watt psu? The psu calculator sites I,ve been looking at say I can, I know later on I will have to replace the psu but I am on a budget and for now just want to upgrade the video card(s) for now. I have a $100 futureshop gift card and getting a $200 visa gift card and I am price comparing it. And my price is in Canadian currency.

my system specs are as follows:
Case: Coolermaster HAF 932
Motherboard: ASUS CROSSHAIR V FORMULA ROG
CPU: AMD AM3 Phenom II X4 955 BE @ 4.0GHz
CPU Water Cooling: Coolit Systems Eco C240
RAM: G.Skill RIPJAWS X 16GB DDR3 1600
Video Cards: (2) XFX RADEON 6850 BLACK EDITION 1GB GDDR5 In Crossfire
Monitor: Samsung BX2431 24" LED HDMI 2ms
Hard Drive(s): 500 GB SATA2 Hitachi, 500 GB SATA 2 Seagate
Optical Drive: ASUS Blu-Ray Player/ DVD Burner
Power Supply: Cougar CMX 700 Watt 80+ Bronze Rated Modular
Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit Pro
Keyboard: Logitech G110
Mouse: Logitech G500

The PSU quality isn't the best, so for the sake of your PC, save up a bit and get a 750w PSU from tiers 1, 2, or 3.

If you're asking if you can X-fire your 6850s with your 7950 (On the off-chance), no, you can't.
