gtx 570 problem with cooler

Solution
There's a good chance the plastic cover is bonded to the IO shield. In that case, you won't be able to completely remove the factory cooler without purposely breaking something. If you've removed every screw you can see and the cover won't budge, there's probably some adhesive somewhere stopping you.

in future anyone having this problem. id recomend trying to slide the cooler off not pull it off if its held down by the compound, i would only pull it if it was a last resort @hang-the-9 but i do agree it is most likely down to compound
