This guy's build looks better than mine for the most part, but I'm wanting to confirm that it actually is. The only thing that looks like a downgrade is the videocard, but I think I may just keep the one I already have if that will work (besides, if there are any restocking fees for the card, it may actually be cheaper just to keep it!).

So what do you guys think of this switch, and do you have any advice over how to get Newegg to refund my current gear?
(they're all still in their boxes, and some like the CPU have not even been opened)

Solution
I'll pick the latter, with modifications, but your first build is not bad at all. Nothing to return at least. Enjoy!

And please check this, as this computer is so good,

Folding@Home is a "distributed computing" project. It lets users "donate" their unused computing power to help disease research in critical areas such as Cancer and Alzheimer's. Do the world, the future, and maybe you yourself some good by at least checking it out. Link here. http://folding.stanford.edu/

Moral things aside. Many performance enthusiasts love to compare how well their PC is by showing their points tally for folding. Tom's Hardware has its own team right here! Come in and comment...
