Hi! I have a PC with Windows 7 on it. And today I tried to play some BF Bad Company 2, and it didn't work, all I could see in game was just black. So I thought that it didn’t work because it maybe ran with Origin likely BF3. So I decided to try to fix the problem whit open Bad Company 2 with Origin, and then I didn’t saw that I have checked in so all my programs changed to some Origin file... now I can’t access any of my program, except for those games I had running meanwhile I did this change.

So please help me! I am thinking of uninstalling Origin, but I’m afraid off messing it up more... I would be soooooo glad if someone could help me!! Thanks!

Solution
Guys! Thanks for trying to help me but I found a solution! I searched on the problem in YouTube, and an amazing YouTube-clip helped me. :)

The only different things I needed to do was to change all the Origin files to note-pad file, and then click on the ink link instead of the exe link.

But once again, thank you all for all the quick and good answers! I believe I described the problem a little bit confusing, hehe ;)

I'm not quite sure what you did. Maybe try looking in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Default Programs\Set Default Programs. You can also try to right-click a file or program and choose open with-choose program. Hehe, looks like rgd beat me to to the suggestion.

Thing is exe files are not included in the list of defaults you can set - so you will need to edit the registry key - the easiest way to reset it is to go here ( http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/restore-exe-file-asso-windows-7-vista-incorrectly-associated/ ) and download the exefix_cu.reg file they have - once downloaded right click and select "MERGE" this will reset the registry key so that the exe files will work again.

Thanks for the help but it didn’t work :( Do you think that the problem will be solved if I uninstall Origin? Or will it just be a disaster then?

Did you try the registry fix on the site I posted ? -- sometimes deleting the program that you set by mistake will fix the problem but other times it will just stop them from opening at all (since they will try to open with the program that was set that you deleted - so deleting ORIGIN might work but might not - the registry key reset listed on that site will correct the issue by deleting the key that has been changed and setting it back to the original setting.
