Minecraft needs faster processor instead of faster card. Also, if you want to record Minecraft, you'll need a separate hard-disk or possibly SSD, for best results. If you don't mind, tell us your current configuration, so we can actually help you.

Tell me from where you want to buy it. Do you know how to build your own pc?

Yeah Laptops are not good for a scalable build, first things first tell us what your requirements are?

Do you "need" it to be mobile or can you have it in one place?

Then you really want a PC if it's going to be for good performance.

Is $300 your max budget?

You would need $380 for this.

It's a budget build but I included some decent parts, the Phenom processor is decent and can be overclocked to meet your CPU needs for minecraft and the HD 7770 is a good enough GPU to get started with.

You can cut costs on things like the amount of storage down to like a 250GB or be cheaper on certain parts but all in all this has the base performance you'd need.

maybe a APU would fit better in his small budget

its 422$ but with win8. there isnt much chance of getting a decent one for less money i think

Then I would go for that build or maybe spend the extra £20 on choosing a different PC Case that you'd prefer?

As I said that list contains some good brand parts, Crucial Elite RAM, Phenom, Corsair PSU etc, that would do you for this budget.

Yeah but A) APU graphics are limited B) FM2 socket is not great for future upgrading, at least the AM3+ socket is still going and in future he could upgrade to an FX 8 or 6.

I have an FM1, I'm getting rid next month, I can't improve any more than I already have because the sockets APU orientated and a dead end.

Do you not have a friend who can help you?

You can go to a PC shop and come to an agreement on a price for them to just fit your parts.

the graphics arent that important for recording minecraft and there is no operating system in your 380$ build, he have to spend another 85$

True Mine Craft is quite CPU orientated though.

I'll compare the APU to the Phenom, if it's close then yes maybe yours is better.

EDIT: Yeah the Phenom is hardly more powerful than the A10 so yeah I'm not a fan of APU's but it would be cheaper.

Good for you buddy, if you need help when building it you can come back here or look at You Tube videos for live instructions on fitting certain parts or whatever.

Good luck.
