from what i can understand which is little, yes toshiba is a good brand. it has a 740m so it will plays games on medium settings most likely maybe high. Not sure about cooling but i would assume it would get hot over gaming sessions since it will be taking all the power for the game, it is a good laptop

Just remember to clean the laptop regularly if you are doing heavy gaming on it. Toshiba is not exactly known for good customer support when reading through reviews on the web... But then again, people who are satisfied with their product rarely give any reviews.
