So me being a space freak I have a bad habit of cramming big video cards in small cases. My latest creation is a shuttle sx79r5 barebones. My problem is I want to stay with my gtx690 so the case comes with a 500 watt 80 plus PSU. I did a calculation and my entire system should pull 496 watts. I am not comfortable with the PSU I feel like I need more power ( although I have played games with it and the 690) DO YOU guys think the PSU will be enough or should I mod the case to fit my 1k psu.

Cpu i7 3939k
Shuttle motherboard x79
32gb ddr3 ram.
Ocz 256 gb ssd
Gtx690
Blu ray drive

Solution
nope. unless your psu is 100% efficient it won't be able to power that. considering a good psu is 80% efficient you'd need a 600W psu atleast for that build.
