Hey everyone just Goa gtx 760 and I'm wondering how many fps I will get playing on a 24 in 1080 p TV, I have an and FX 8320 @ 4.0 GHz, and 14 gigs of DDR3 1333 MHz, and an asus sabertooth 990 FX r 2.0. I want to play bf3 on ultra.

Solution
BF3 multi is more than twice as CPU-intensive as the SP campaign. It's barely more GPU-intensive, so as long as you have a strong CPU paired with that GTX 660, you probably won't see multiplayer fps drop that much.

I have the Gigabyte 760 OC, and it plays BF3 well. With everything maxed out but 2X MSAA on Multiplayer 64 player servers, it maintains 60 fps minimum pretty steady with a very occasional drop on the CQ maps. 4XMSAA seems to result in a little too often (for me) drops to around 45 fps (or lower) even though the average is still over 60.

If you're picky like me, it handles everything on ultra + 2X MSAA!

This is with an OCed i7 950 CPU.

There is no way you're getting a steady 60fps on multiplayer with a 660. 64 man servers? Go try a 64 man CQ map, I bet you'll get dips down to 25 fps with 4xmsaa on.

With 4X MSAA ON A 64 MAN CQ MAP? I dunno .. I bet I could find a certain spot on certain maps where it does.

never had it happen on my setup on those maps. either way this isnt adding anything to the original question. his 760 will play the game on ultra just fine at 1080

It seems weird that you would even be playing those maps with 4 x MSAA with only a gtx 660 in the first place, unless you like playing at a disadvantage, but yeah I agree this adds nothing to the OP's question ... The 760 will run bf3 well.

I have around 500 hours on bf3 multiplayer on PC with three different video cards. Trust me, 4X MSAA with only a gtx 660 with everything else maxed, is not optimal with ANY cpu. I would turn MSAA right off with that card and max everything else.

no, still 60. occasionally it will dip to 50ish for a couple seconds. i have 4x standard AA on, not msaa.

Not sure what you mean, BF3 uses MSAA X2 X4 or off, and FXAA low med high, off. You must be gaming at less than 1920 X 1080 then, since even a 670 will occasionally dip to 45 fps with everything cranked at 1080p with those settings.
