SATA Data & Power Cable

Hello,

I have a Dell Inspiron 17R and it has a eSATA port, i would like to connect a hard drive to this. Would this cable plug into my computer and be able to power the drive at the same time?

No, you would need a SATA Data Cable, And a SATA Power Cable.

That is not a SATA power cable.
There is no option.....SATA data and SATA power.

OK...there is an option....wire something up yourself.
If you do, please take video. I love smoke checks.
