What the title says. For 1080p on one monitor which would you guys recommend? I created a thread earlier ruling out the 770, now hopefully it'll be easier to gauge what to do from some hard evidence on which is better price/performance and fps for te games mentioned.

Currently have

650w antec earthwatts
965 phenom ii x4 oc to 3.8 ghz
4gb ddr2
Gigabyte ga-ma790x-ud4p mobo
Evga gtx 560 ti oc'd a tad to 950
150gb hdd
Corsair h60

More about : gtx 760 7950

Get the GTX 760 http://amzn.to/190C7Ph I have a 7950 and don't get me wrong, it's a great card but the price point/performance of the 760 can't be beat.

now to choose which version of the 760 to get...hmmm.... evga gtx 760 SC looks very tempting at $259 on amazon. Out of stock at newegg

would attempt to OC the EVGA GTX 760 SC more than stock OC.

Well id say the GTX 760 if you are not OCing. The 7950 is a great overclocker and can reach 770 speeds when OCed. But id go for the 760 since its newer cheaper and you can always add another for SLI (crossfire is rubbish). You should be able to play a good amount of games on ultra with the 760 at over 30 frames such as tomb raider, bioshock and any indie game. But it cant manage Crysis 3 on ultra although it can run Crysis 3 on very high at a playable 30 FPS. But the 7950 when OCed well can easily squeeze an extra 10 frames off the 760. But the 7950 when not OCed is a few frames behind the 760. Id say get the EVGA SC ACX 760. It has a good cooling system, reliable (its from evga), its the best SCed version of the 760 (more mhz than any other 760), and its not noisy and long (its not like the gigabyte windforce 760 which has 3 fans and 11 inches length)
