How does the Fx-4170 compare to the Fx-8350? What GPU's match well with the Fx-8350?
Currently I have the Fx-4170, looking to upgrade my CPU later this year for the newer games. Really Really Really prefer not to switch mobo so sticking with AM3/AM3+ socket. Whats my best deal? Also, was gonna go for Fx-9370 but can't buy it right now unless its with a combo/package, so forget that for now.

The Hyper 212 EVO is more than adequate to cool the 8350@Stock or even OCd a bit very reliably, I would not bother with a H100i due to your motherboard. The 8350 is definitely worth it for future console ports and multi-threaded applications in general.
The FX8350 is far superior in every aspect compared to the 4170. It performs better in effectively all applications you will use. The FX9370 is a rip-off Phenom II TWKR scheme and is just a FX8350@4.7Ghz, you can overclock the FX8350 to 4.5Ghz and get similar results. What is your motherboard and other specifications? A good cooler to overclock the 8350: http://www.amazon.com/Noctua-Heatpipe-Bearing-Cooler-NH-D14/dp/B002VKVZ1A

My current build is:
GPU: HIS Radeon HD 7850 2gb GDDR5,
Mobo: ASRock 970 Extreme3,
PSU: Thermaltake 675W,
CPU: AMD Fx-4170 4-Core-4.2Ghz-12.0MB Cache-stock heatsink,
RAM: G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1600,

I planed on getting a liquid cooling system soon, for arround $100 (maybe this:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103181) is this good for overclocking? Also with an overclocked fx-8350 what kind of GPU would run with the CPU ?

Effectively any single or even dual GPU setup will not be bottle-necked by a FX8350@Stock speeds, with the H100i, you can overclock to around 4.5GHz quite well, although your motherboard may be an issue when getting up that high. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099

For CPU intensive games, the FX-8350 is better than the FX-4170. Here's an example with Crysis 3:

However, for games that don't really care how powerful the CPU is as long as it does not bottleneck the GPU, then performance would be similar. Tomb Raider is an example of a game that generally does not care about the CPU... unless you are looking at dual core CPUs.

Damn. I'm trying to upgrade my PC without changing the motherboard becuase I have OEM Windows. What would you recommend being a safe OC with my build? And do you think that would be sufficient for "Next Gen" Titles (I know its hard to know right now with the little info we have, so just your best opinion)

The 8350@Stock is sufficient for next-gen titles\console ports, especially the AMD optimized Battlefield 4. I would get a Hyper 212 EVO to cool it as the stock cooler is garbage.

So buying the Fx-8350 is definitely worth the upgrade from the fx-4170? Also, Should I not bother with the liquid cooling systems? or do they make a significant impact?
