Hey! I am new to the community and have been sniffing around the Internet looking to buy a good gaming PC. Well....everything I have found has said for me to build one. I have never even touched the inside of a computer let alone seen one up close. I am a complete noob when it comes to this stuff. My budget for such a computer would be around $800.

I don't really require much. Just enough for me to do my school work and play my games. (Especially the sims 3 + expansions and future games off of steam I may install) so I'm assuming I'll need a bit of RAM or whatever (excuse my ignorance, I really am at preschool level with this stuff).

Also considering the class I'm about to take (intro to programming C++) I need something that will live just in case I screw up while messing around with C++. I also would not like for it to crash or explode which is something I am very familiar with....well, the crashing bit :D

So are you looking at building or buying?
If you have never saw the insight of a computer I really wouldn't reccomend building a computer.

Here's a good computer for under your budget and I'll also reccomend a graphics card you can put in your self so you can atleast touch something of the computer and also a power supply that you can install your selve but you have to take the old one out.

Power Supply : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139028

This is a good way to start cause the hard work is already done and you can just upgrade some things, there is...

This is a good way to start cause the hard work is already done and you can just upgrade some things, there is little room for failure.
