Hi I have had my wc for about a year now putting 3 drops in monthly I have noticed my water stoping where the CPU block is and it gets hot to the touch I have also noticed it gets so hot it makes the hose leak(killed my psu) I also noticed that I do not hear my pump res but my rad is working fine... What can cause this? Is my pump done? It's a xspc raystorm x20 750 v4

No. The D5 is the gas guzzling, overcompensating, E-peen enhancing SUV of the watercooling market. It's a pump that is available under several brands.

Here's what it looks like

It's marketed as the Swiftech MCP-655, and I think Koolance has one as well.

It's very powerful and extremely quiet. The only caveat is that it requires 1/2in inner diameter tubing.

Than what's this? http://www.xs-pc.com/water-pumps/d5-dual-bay-reservoirpump-combo

That's a D5 + reservoir combo. I didn't mean to imply that they don't exist, just that D5 refers to a particular pump design.

I thought so... Can I use just my rad as a cooling fan I can't find my mount clips for the stock fan

I'm a little confused. Do you mean "can I use my radiator as a cooling apparatus while waiting for a new pump to arrive?" If so, the answer is no.

Just to clarify, D5 series do not need 1/2" ID. There might be some that come preinstalled with 1/2" barbs, but any barb, fitting, and matching tubing can be used

Pump/res combos with d5 pumps have them attached on the back, not inside like the x20. Also, standalone D5 pumps, like the MCP655, can be mounted seperate, with tubing running to res in a different location, like a 5.25 bay

Yup. Put it aside for a day or two and rush order a new pump.
