I don't know why my computer has been freezing. It freezes while playing games, or downloading games, or just listening to pandora. I am pretty sure that it has only been freezing while using the internet but I am not sure how to tell if it will freeze without using the internet. Anyways here is the dxdiag of my computer:

Okay, is your computer freezing to the point that CTL+ALT+DELETE AND THEN TASK MGR does not work or come up? Or can you clear the unresponsive program by using CTL+ALT+Delete? Computer freezing can be caused by a wide variety of virus/malware and or hardware problems. I would start by running a full virus/malware scan with reputable virus/malware software. What are you running for antivirus? Download the free trial of Malwarebytes. Run a full scan (not quick scan). See if you have any infections and fix/delete issues. I also recommend Ad-Aware Free anti-virus. It is completely free and works well. Download and run a full scan. Next, download CC cleaner. Run a scan for temp files, cookies, etc and clean them out. Then move on to the free registry cleaner CC Cleaner provides. Run a full registry scan, and then save your registry settings, and delete any missing or broken registry files CC Cleaner comes up with. Go into the start up section of CC Cleaner. Disable any non-vital programs trying to run at start up. You will be surprised how many programs you download try to automatically run at start up when they do not need to. If you perform all of this and still are freezing up, move on to hardware issues. Check your ram. Remove all ram except 1 stick and boot up. Move the one stick from slot to slot until you computer does not freeze up. If that does not solve it, move to the next ram stick and repeat until you have tried all sticks of ram you have available. If you find a stick that works without freezing up, by a new matched set of ram, you had a memory issue. Let me know~~ Suferbus

I am using Trend Mirco Titanium Security for virus protection and I have run many scans using it and it has come up with no severe errors, just tracking cookies that it gets rid of. CTL+ALT+DEL does not work. The whole screen locks up and I cannot do anything. I have used CCleaner to clean the registry and the first time it found 212 error and then fixed them, but it is still freezing. My computer has been freezing for 3 years so I have been slowly replacing all the parts. Right now, the parts I have just installed over the past month is basically a brand new computer. I just installed the new processor, motherboard, graphics card, hard drive, and ram. The only thing that I have not changed is the network adapter for wireless internet. I don't think that could be the problem though, but then again I am not an expert.

If this has been an issue for over 3 years, I would seriously buy another Mobo. How many other hardware components could there be left for you to replace at this point besides the mobo? Don't waste anymore money, start from scratch. :(  ~~ Suferbus

Ram is a leading cause of freezing p.c's and if you have been through the ram tests, remove all but 1 stick, try in each slot, go through all available ram that way, and you are still getting that, the only other options are cpu & mobo if you don't have a virus. I doubt it is cpu if you are getting no other symptoms. What are your specs again?

Just had a thought, have you checked your cpu temps? If your thermal paste is old, it is dried up and cpu could be getting hot, thus causing system to freeze. Check cpu temps by downloading core temp or another hardware monitor program. If running hot (80+c Intel 65+c AMD)- Pull off heatsink, pull out cpu, clean everything off, and re-apply new, good thermal paste, re-install everything and give it a go. Also look into another cpu cooler?

Alright so when the freeze occurs, I look over at my motherboard and it says it is around 50 degrees. Im pretty sure thats celsius. I have a liquid cooling system of the H100. I have replaced the motherboard to the MSI MPower Z77. Specs:

Motherboard: MSI M-Power Z77
Graphics Card: EVGA 04G-P4-3688-KR GeForce GTX 680 Classified 4GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express
RAM: Patriot Viper 3 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model PV316G160C0K
Hard Drive: OCZ Vertex 4 VTX4-25SAT3-256G 2.5" 256GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) and 1 TB HDD (currently not used)
Power Supply: Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-900 900W ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V v2.91 SLI Certified CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply
Case: Thermaltake Chaser MK-I (VN300M1W2N) Black SECC ATX Full Tower Computer Case
Liquid Cooling: CORSAIR Hydro Series H100 (CWCH100) Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
Fans: Using two 200 mm fans on top blowing out air. One 200 mm fan on front taking in air. One 100 mm fan on back taking in air. Also using the fans that come with liquid cooling system to blow air down on the internals of the computer. On the case there is a fan controller which I have set to high.
Monitor: Acer E230H

I did start from scratch basically. I got all new parts this last month.

Okay, is there any hardware you did not change out? did you do a fresh install of windows when you installed these components a month ago?

I am honestly starting to lean towards a hard drive or o/s issue. I cannot imagine it is hardware related, no one is that unlucky.

I did do a fresh install of windows. Completely wiped my hard drive then got a new SSD for a hard drive. The only thing I have not changed is the network adapter for wireless internet.
