C: Drive Messed Up

I recently reinstalled Windows XP on my laptop. It had me partition my drive. Now my C: drive is a jumbled mess of letters, numbers and symbols. Also, the computer is running really slow. What can I do to fix this?

reinstall but delete all the partitions unless you have a recovery partition,which im thinking you dont have.if you need to partition it do it after install with a partition tool like easus partition master.
