Hello, I am planning to build my own desktop and I wanted two HDDs on it: one for programs/games and one for all my other files. I was wondering, how do I go about installing Windows 7 onto the PC? Do I have to install the OS on both, have only one plugged in at the time, or what? Also, how would I be able to use both of them at the same time, but as two separate drives, not one configuration?

Sorry if these are dumb questions. :p Clear, detailed responses would be so very helpful.

Thank you! :)

You would simply install the OS on the first hard drive (which would be called C: ), then you would keep your media, documents, etc. on the second hard drive (by default, it would be called D: ).

It's very simple. The second hard drive would be used in the same way as a USB drive, in a sense (except it's more permanent, of course).

No dumb questions here. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask :)
