New router, help

I bought a new router (Prolink WNR1012)

So I connect the modem to the router, then i connected my computer to it, it sarted up an installation wizard. I did what it says, I put the type as PPPoE because my modem says ASDL on it. I kept the username as PRO_LiNK_WNR1012 and put the password as the password i used to have to enter for the internet. Now im connected to the network but have no internet acess? and both my old profile and the new PROLiNK_WNR1012 are both showing up. I put in my old router and now i have internet acess. what do i do?

You need to get the ADSL settings from your ISP. Phone them up and they will be able to guide you through it.

The username and password you setup yourself for the PPPoE set up will not be the same as what is required by your ISP.

Phone who up? wth ?

well i got to that page and i did setup wizard this time having at as DHCL or something, now im connected to internet, but only wired. wireless and it wont connect me to the network

He means you have to call whoever provides you access to the wonderful internet
