Hey, guys.

I need some sugestion for my pc upgrade.
First, i will let you know my current pc spec. (its 4 years old)
I have motherboard with SOCKET 775, 2 PCI-E x16 and 2 PCI-E x4.
2 gigs of ram (2x1gb).
512MB NVidia GeForce 7300GS
Intel Pentuim Dual CPU E2160 @1.8GHz
and 450W PSU.

Okay, wich is the most important hardware to upgrade first.
I just wanna play mid-range (high setting) to high-end (low to medium setting) games.

And i heard that i can get core 2 duo or core 2 quad for my mobo.
And i have read somewhere that core 2 duo and core 2 quad had better performance than core i3 and core i5.

okay guys, thanks for your attention.

Solution
Lol. Better to sell your old pc and buy a new one.

No use upgrading it. It will just become a headache in gaming or your not into gaming

u have a Socket 775 board so u can only fit in a Core 2 Duo/Quad unless u wanna go for a complete overhaul, which i would hightly suggest considering ur GPU is als not the best
i'm curious, where did u hear that Core 2 Duo/Quad are better than i3/i5?

For $300 I would recommend buying good 775/115x compatible cooler like Noctua 12cm($60) and buy second-hand Q6600 or q6700 (less than $100) processor and overclock it to the top. Then add fastest AMD GPU (in case your want only gaming and not video/3d editing) you can buy with leftover.
