So I just received a new i7-4770k, asrock z87 extreme6 motherboard, and HAF 932 case. After installing the cpu, cpu fan and psu, the first thing i do is a test boot (without ram). Debug monitor thing shows up on motherboard, fan is running fine, leds are on, and i hear beeping. Good. I keep building up until everything is in and finally boot. That's where the cpu and gpu fans come, and then go off, rinse and repeat. It gets to the point where I go back to breadboard and test boot again but this time nothing works fine anymore. Cpu fan comes on for 2 seconds, then goes off. Even breadboard tested my old board and it works. That leads me to believe that the only thing that could possibly be wrong is the mb or cpu since it can't possibly be the psu. I've tried resetting CMOS to no avail. Any help would be appreciated

Have you try updating the bios ?Are all the standoffs in the right place for the new board? There isn't an standoff out somewhere ? If the standoffs are all where they are supposed to be, it sounds like a motherboard problem, you mentioned you even try breadboard the build so it's most likely not a standoff problem.I am just thinking of possible issues are you sure the psu is not the issue? What is your current power supply make and model?
