i need to buy a mid range laptop for little bit of gaming ,and i have two options
1- gt650m+hd4000 with i7-3610m
2- amd A8-5550m with hd8790m

i know that hd8790m is little bit stronger than gt650m but i also know that A8-5550m is very week against i7-3610m ,so i am not sure which one to buy .

Well, it really depends on what you are using it for. I would come up with a list of what you plan on doing with the machine and then looking at each task and figuring out if it is CPU or GPU intensive, or both. Once you have that done, you should have a good idea of your needs and can then take into account price, quality, ect. to make a decision.

The i7 and GT650m is the best choice. You will be able to run most new games at med or high.

The 8790M is only a little better than the 650M, so if overall system performance in everyday tasks is important to you also, then you would be doing yourself the greater service with the i7 system I think.

one more thing .,.,.this gt650m is 2gb ddr3 ,.,.,but the 8790m is ddr5
and I just found that the a8_5550m is also a quad core (but still it is a week one )
I want this laptop to play some games like planetside 2 at good fps and some stuff like auto cad ,,,,,,,,,,the only think I am worried is that ,I am not sure that the A8-5550m ,how long will satisfy the processing requirement of future software and games (I know at low setting )

It will struggle some, but that all depends on the software. The i7 is the superior CPU here and will be better in terms of future proofing, as well.
