I am stuck for which monitor to get. It is between an Acer G246HLB 24 and the LG 24EA53VQ IPS 24. I would also like to know if I should be going for this size at 24" or should I go lower for a 22" or 23". I will mostly use it for gaming, movies and browsing. (I can also get the LG for the same price as the Acer)

Between these two I'd go with the acer, higher contrast ratio, and faster response time, helps for gaming.

Edit: Wasn't paying attention before, but the LG's advantage is that it's an ips so the viewing angles are going to be better

Sorry I accidentally posted this question twice. But i found that the tests are company run. Went on to the LG website the contrast is 5Mil:1 while the acer is 1Mil:1. along with the response time testing being done differently. I think they are going to look similar and the IPS does seem to be more vibrant.
