Hello!

I have been trying to play GTA 4 on my computer but I came across an error (Fatal Error DD3D30 - Please Reboot) A couple Google searches later I found out I just need to change my resolution. I change the resolution on my Intel 4000 graphics but cannot change it on my Nvidia Control Panel. Once I am in the GTA 4 settings since the Intel 4000 graphics cannot handle the game, I cannot change any graphics settings to prevent the error from occurring. So basically I need to figure out how to change my resolution to 800 x 600 on my Nvidia GT 645M.

Specs;
Nvidia GT 645M
Driver 326.01
Nvidia Control Panel Version - 7.2.750.0

Thanks! Jon

You need to change the settings in the game to use the 645m. Go into Nvidia control panel and got to manage 3d settings. in that window click program settings, just follow the steps 1) select program (GTA 4) step 2) what graphics card do you want to use. once you select nvida that game will always use the 645m instead of the intel one.

I actually had tried that and it still gave me the error (unfortunately) apparently the windows resolution is based on the intel 4000 graphics and not the 645m. I would really like to figure this out because it is being a hassle.

Weird, this is an MSI CX61 laptop and it uses to card no matter what. But I have tried it plugged in and unplugged.
