I have a GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-UD3H and an i5 4670k processor. Was curious as to what the hell the CPU upgrade is as when i click it, options for i7 4770k CPU overclocked to 4.3-4.7 GHz show up. Any clues?

Also before I run prime95 again for long time use how do you set the voltage? It seems to just stay on auto and it instantly overheated my processor, it said it hit max temp instantly.

Im guessing your motherboard came with a manual and states what it does. I would have to say it a auto overclock for you cpu.

For prime95 by default the voltages in the bios are set to auto. For the overheating problem, are you using the stock cooler for the cpu? If you are don't overclock the cpu the stock coolers cant handle it. If you have the stock cooler on and the cpu is overclocked this is the reason for the instant max temp.
