Discrete + On Board GFX for 3 + 1 Display

Have a Haswell box w/ on board GFX plus a VisionTek 900345 Radeon HD 5570 intended for use in a power plant.

One screen (1400 x 900) is intended to serve for basic work (typing reports, browsing equipment catalogs, etc.). Screen 2 thru 4 (1920 x 1080) are intended for displaying power plant and distribution status (Faults, amps, voltages, etc).

It's a very low graphics load, GFX hardware was supplied by switchgear vendor. I have never had the opportunity to use on board GFX before and I'm having a bit of trouble with Catalyst Control Center ..... internet searches for "How To" guides have come up dry so far.

Screen set up looks like this:

|1920 x 1080| |1920 x 1080| |1920 x 1080| (Wall Mounted)

.........................|1600 x900| (Desktop Monitor)

Solution
If it's an Intel box you are not going to be using CCC to set up the on board graphics. At work I am running 3 monitors, 2 on a 7470 and 1 on the onboard. I had to download the driver for the iGPU to enable the monitor plugged in to it, and it can also run 1 additional through the iGPU. Get the driver installed first and go from there.

All drivers are installed. I have booted the machine with Screen 1 connected to the on board just fine ..... what I can't figure is getting the 3 screens to do what I want. When I boot with the 1600 x 900 connected to the On Board GFX, I get just one 1920 x 1080 showing a duplicate image.

The only reason I envisioned doing the desktop monitor through the on board is the different resolutions between the desktop and the wall mounted.

There is nothing wrong in any way, shape or form. No errors, nothing disabled, no hardware concerns, no driver concerns, Windows 7 so no XP issues, extended desktop is working across all screens with all 4 connected to discrete card.

Screen set up looks like this:
__________ __________ ___________
|1920 x 1080| |1920 x 1080| |1920 x 1080|
|1920 x 1080| |1920 x 1080| |1920 x 1080| (Extended Desktop)
|1920 x 1080| |1920 x 1080| |1920 x 1080| (Wall Mounted)
|_____2____| |_____3____| |_____4____|

.........................._________
.........................|1600 x900|
.........................|1600 x900| (Desktop Monitor - Primary Desktop)
.........................| ____1___|

ONLY issues relate to documentation in CCC and how to "arrange" things:

1. Because of the different resolutions, screen desktop (background), and smaller screen being of lower resolution, image on 1920 x 1200 monitors has black lines all around.

2. Looking at Sketch above, raising the mouse from Screen No. 1 past the bezel on top should put you in Screen 3, it doesn't .... it puts you in screen No. 2. Moving off the left side of screen No. 2 puts you om the right side of Screen No. 3. Moving off the right side of screen No. 2 puts you on screen No. 4. Now ya would think that switching either the cables or dragging and dropping the screen positions would resolve but nothing changes.f

Is it possible to run the smaller desktop off the on board Intel GFX and the 3 larger screens off the discrete card ??? When I tried it, I only got an image on the center of the 3 screens.

BTW, Windows shows screens 2-3-4 with 1 under the 3 as the extended desktop. CCC shows it 4-3-2

This is whacked

Screen in Windows Desktop Management looks like this set up looks like this:
__________ __________ ___________
|1920 x 1080| |1920 x 1080| |1920 x 1080|
|1920 x 1080| |1920 x 1080| |1920 x 1080| (Extended Desktop)
|1920 x 1080| |1920 x 1080| |1920 x 1080| (Wall Mounted)
|_____2____| |_____3____| |_____4____|

........................ _________
........................|1600 x900|
........................|1600 x900| (Desktop Monitor - Primary Desktop)
........................| ____1___|

Windows Desktop Management is 1 on the bottom and 2-3-4 on top
Hitting "Identify" in Windows identifies each as 1 on the bottom and 3-2-4 on top

Catalyst Control Center says 1 on bottom and 4-3-2 on top
Hitting "Identify" in CCC identifies each as 1 on the bottom and 4-3-2 on top

It's not a cable thing as the cables are identified as 1-2-3-4
