Hello,

I am looking to build a mid level CAD/Simulation machine for a group of engineers to tap into as a dedicated churning machine for SOLIDWORKS +extentions/ANASYS/1D SIM inside of our server room. Since no monitors will be directly attached in the server room, and it will be remoted into to set up and carry out simulations is there anything I should keep in mind whil spec'ing GPU's? CUDA cores and overall memory are most important in this application of the workstation correct? Any information would be HUGELY appreciated. For the record, I am taking an unused Dell T1600 and adding components as I can with a limited budget(1200ish)

THANKS!

Since the churning machine will use it's GPU for computing/calculations, you just need to get a GPU compatible with the applications you intend to use. Remote access will not rely upon the churning machine's GPU to display images, your clients will handle that.

Sounds like a good job for a Titan (about $1000) or Quadro.
