so i started getting a pop up window, it started to slow down my PC so i ran Microsoft Security Essentials(full scan) and it found 2 Trojans & 2 ad-wear , it said it removed it so i went back to surfing the net and the pop up was still there, so i ran Microsoft Security Essentials(full scan) again and i did,'t find anything and on the history tab it had the info about OpenCandy.......i tried deleting the Temp internet files , and still pop up comes up...........

also tried downloading a few programs and doing what they said but it was a wast of time....

can someone help PLEZZZZZZ !!!!!I've been trying to fix this for the last 3 to 4 days and I'm at my wits end

Solution
This will help you

http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner-popup/
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/

They both remove OpenCandy. If for whatever reason this doesn't work I would try downloading Malwarebytes.

No problem and yeah it wouldn't hurt to check your external hard drive as well. I would lose Microsoft Security Essentials and download (if you want free) any one of these which are far more superior to MSE in every way:

avast! (I would recommend this one the most)
Avira
AVG
You can use one of these or malwarebytes to scan your external HDD if you want as well.

THANK YOU, Maxx! I got OpenCandy from Free Sound Recorder, a streaming audio to MP3 converter. The ESET didn't find anything, so I didn't have a Trojan, but ADWCleaner found so much I was shocked. I formally ran an Adware/malware scanner in the background, but when I got Norton360, it told me to get rid of it, so I did. Funny that Norton popped up repeatedly warning me about an intrusion that it had blocked, but Norton couldn't remove it and their online help had nothing about it.
