My original list was revised per feedback from sources on Tom's and elsewhere. My goal is a expandable, quiet, no hassle system using standard and popular (well reviewed) parts. I know the video card is weak for this build but will overclock or replace down the road.
Questions
Do I need a cpu cooler?
I assume that this power supply is sufficient (per pcpartpicker wattage requirement) but suggestions appreciated.
Thanks! Nina

You are right -- I am not planning to overclock. This just seemed like a good, well-reviewed motherboard for the price with some features for gaming (i.e. "gaming" in the title <g>). I don't want to pay the extra for a k chip at this time. I am open to suggestions if re: a different motherboard that fits with the system in this price range. I am particularly looking at Newegg reviews to compare failure rates, features etc. I have no personal experience with any of this. Thanks for the much appreciated suggestions!!

OK - I'm sure you are right re: $16 being a waste of money. I can leave it off. Re: CoolMaster PSU's
- I'm primarily relying on Newegg reviews of features and failure rates. As far as I can tell virtually all the PSU's are rated 4/5. I might consider switching to the SeaSonic M12II 620 Bronze which is about the only one rated 5/5 (fwiw) but I'm not familiar with the brand -- OTOH I"m not familiar with any of this. Thanks! for the suggestion - much appreciated.
