hi guys! this is my current rig:

XFX HD 7770 Ghz Edition
4GB Ram DDR3
AMD Athlon II X2 245 2.9Ghz
FSP Hexa 500w
LED 19" 1366x768

i wonder if my cpu was bottleneck so much with my GPU.. or the GPU itself not doing good.

Skyrim Settings:
-shadow ultra
-texture high
-FXAA on
-AA 4X
-Radial blur medium
-decal high
-Project ENB + CoT no DoF no SSAO

FPS are around 24-32 inside town, 30-35 outside town and 45-60 indoor. is this normal?

Sleeping Dogs on high settings only got 17-28 fps

just bought NFS The Run and im not happy with it. i got 0-12 fps on ultra settings. i've seen youtube that 7770 can maxed out at 1600x1050.

ha ha funny, how about upgrading to Vishera FX-6300?
would i notice many performance? thx guys

Solution
Skyrim is a CPU limited game.

infact with this CPU you mostly will not be able run most mordern game on ultra/high settings at any resolution

since you have a AM3 cpu, consider upgrading..

the GPU is ok for gaming at 720p with decent settings if paired with a decent Phenom X4 or FX (iff supported). 6300 will do you wonders if supported

Well i have a HD7770 with a core 2 duo 2.4 which is the same if not better than your CPU and guess what? I'm bottlenecked too -_- . Upgrade to a FX-6300 to remove the bottleneck and understand that the HD7770 can't take run games on ultra. It's just an entry level GPU

thx for all the responses guys ^_^

@sarwar_r87
yes i bought this gpu cause they said 7770 is good enough for 720p gaming
but i wanna upgrade to fx-6300 and new am3+ motherboard.
hahaha my cpu's too old

@haider95
no, actually im not hoping to play games in ultra, high settings would be enough with 4X AA.
i think we should upgrading the cpu bro

@spentshells
thats still quad-core bro, im planning to buy six-core or eight-core =))
