I just installed Windows 7 premium on my Acer Aspire One 722, with a brand new Samsung 840 pro ssd.

What drivers do I need to now install?

There is a list on the acer website. Do I need to download all of them?

Also windows looks strange, all of the display and video looks like the graphics are lower and/or slightly distorted. Almost has a "safe mode feel" but not as bad.

Is this because the drivers are not installed or is this a separate issue?

I'm pretty sure I used the right Iso 32 bit if I remeber. But would I get this problem if I used the wrong "bit" Iso?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Install all the driver the website has for your computer and the OS, but you can ignore the software they provide (you can install it if you want/need it). After the drivers are install, your computer's graphics should return to normal, your computer is probably missing the required video driver run window aero and will be fixed once you install all the drivers.

Thanks for the reply. That's a relief. You mentioned the other software. Does the manufacturer - Acer - have that available on their website too? Most of it I'm not interested in but I'd like to recover the Word starter edition that came with my original OS. Thanks again!

They usually have like battery manager apps and other system ulitlties that SOME people use (some consider it bloatware). But, with Word, there's no way you can get that back without buying another licence.

That Microsoft wants their money eh?
If you would entertain one more question I'd be grateful:
On the acer drivers DL page there are multiple DLs for many items. For example LAN driver. There are 3 separate driver DLs that are labeled "LAN driver". Should I install, in the LAN case and for the other multiples, all three or do I need to investigate which is the correct driver for my device ?
