Hi everyone.
I bought a Samsung 840 Pro off Amazon (used) yesterday and cannot get the bios to unfreeze it.
What I did was take out my DVD rom drive and use that SATA cable/power cable to hook up the SSD. The ssd is frozen, but being detected when I boot to my HDD.
I've tried putting the computer to sleep (somehow that was working for some people); I've tried booting to Parted Magic (but can't get it to recognize the SSD being hooked up); I've tried booting to USB using Samsung's Magician software which suggests unhooking the SSD then rebooting off the USB which I did several times and didn't work.
I'm using an Asus CG5290. The retail desktop they had in 2009.
Since the drive is used is it possible that it's just bricked?
