650 TI Boost SLI needs to be exact same card?

Just as the title says can I use a card from a dif manufacturer or does it need to be exact same as one I have?

Ideally it would be the same card, people have had issues with two cards of different manufacturers, but generally it works.

if clockspeed is the same, it will work in SLI

but if you were to SLI in the first place, i dont see any point of doing so when you could have easily bought a single 670 or 770 saving 50% power and 100% of the hassle

You need another GTX 650 Ti Boost, it can be any manufacturer. You also need to match up the VRAM amounts (1GB or 2GB). Finally, make sure that your motherboard specifically supports Nvidia SLI.
