Is their anything wrong with this monitor? Got a new desktop and need a monitor as current display is 19 inch wharfedale tv

That's a good one, 2ms is very good, the Asus monitors are known for good resolution and picture quality

Unfortunately since it uses a TN film panel, image quality won't be great compared to an IPS or PLS panel display. I'd recommend the VS239H-P.

I am looking at no more than a £200 monitor. Plus i might upgrade it ina year or 2.

a) It is 5ms not 2ms.
b) its a temp monitor, till i have the funds for a better one.

You do realise there's no such thing as a 2ms IPS monitor? You need to realise response time rating is useless. Here's motion photos from a 6ms panel:

Obviously I'm comparing a very fast 8ms to a crap 6ms. I'm just proving that you can't rely on those numbers.

I'm not claiming to be a master of monitors, just stating the facts. And as i said ill be happy with the monitor i selected as long as it does the job

Haha relax. Nobody is trying to offend you here. And any monitor will do its job, but some will do it much better than others. This is IPS and has a highly configurable RTC overdrive (accelerates pixel response):

Very reasonably-priced, high quality and fast. And Ebuyer are excellent for returns if you don't like it. I've bought several monitors from them to test, RMA the ones I didn't like and Ebuyer actually pay a courier to pick it up so you don't even need to pay delivery costs.
