currently just upgraded my computer however the got really low rating on my graphic card (windows rating gave it 2.1 or something) but here are my specs for the computer

Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) x3 455 processor 3.31 GHz

RAM: 4Gb

System type:64bit

currently have installed NVIDIA quadro NVS 285

DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC

I have a budget of of around £100 maximum but really just looking for a better card for using steam and playing games etc, so just wondering what you guys would recommend and for the best price and what will do the job!

thank you in advance!

hello i know that this thread is a while old now but i have recently upgraded ,y computer again and it has a lot different, i know now have the money but want to know if the graphics card 'faalin' suggested would still fit in really, I am still looking to spend £100 if i can and im wanting to (if i can) go on steam and be able to play games like fifa and cod if possible but not essential! here are my new specs i apologize for bringing up an old thread and i hope you guys can help me

CPU: intel core 2 quad Q6600
package: Socket 775 LGA
specification: INtel(R) Core(TM) 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz

Mainboard/Motherboard:

Acer
EQ35M
Chipset: Intel Q35
Southbridge: Intel 82801I0 (ICH9DO)

4gb RAM

Current graphics: Intel(R) Q35 Express Chipset family)

sorry of that's too much info just want to really be sure that when i buy one it will fit and install fine, so yeah £100 and be nice to play the games i mentioned but not too bothered if not just wanted a good upgrade for the money!
also if the graphic card comes with a HDMI port that would be a big plus i am currently having to hook upto my TV via VGA and I don't really want that, my TV has an HDMI port so!

if anyone could help me out ASAP im planning on going out to a few stores tomorrow and would like some models to have a look at, really wanting to get a better graphic card any help is appreciated and thank you in advance if the grpahics card that the above user suggested will still fit i will go with that but its a totally different system now and a new tower so not sure it will!

i have just read that bus interface is: PCI not sure if that will help determine what I can have, I know that power is also something that need to be taken into account but i was hoping that for £100 there wouldn't be an issue of a graphic card needing too much power!

thanks for the suggestion! had a look around and saw this for just over £100

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-7770-Radeon-Graphics-Card/dp/B0081LDXW2

is this what you were thinking, and do you think that with my specs and the details i gave you that this would be suitable and would fit and run in my computer, sorry for all the questions just don't want to spend that amount of money and for it not to work :/ haha!
