If Money Wasn't An Object, What Is The Best Bleeding Edge System To Date For A Gamer?

Thought this would be a fun discussion topic. So, as the title says...If money was not a problem, what (in everyone's opinion) is the most BEASTLY gaming rig you could possibly build. As I do understand that this topic is VERY broad, I'll lay down some basic guidelines.

  • No Xeon chips (Or the like). Lets stick to systems that allow things such as SLI/Crossfire. I heard somewhere that Xeon does not allow multi-GPU solutions or basic OCing (please correct me if I'm wrong!)
  • No prebuilt machines (i.e. Alienware, Digital Storm, World Record servers, etc.) We're looking for creativity here!I can't think of any other restrictions, but if any community members would like to add something just say so!Let the discussion commence!Monk

  1. First will start off with this build http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1i8Fc

then add in a full custom water cooling kit.
starting off with modding 2 of the new EXC-800 Portable 800W Recirculating Liquid Chiller into the case, block for the cpu and full cover blocks for the titans. fully done loop rounding out to $3500

Adding that to the $18500 computer for a cool $22000 is not a bad rig.
  2. Thats a pretty Overkill rig there Faalin especially for a gaming rig.

This is the perfect gaming rig.http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1ia6v
  3. As the title said "If money were not an option". I'm leaning more towards Faalin's build, that's more of what I had in mind. At first glance, I was thinking "Yea, those PCI-E SSDs are a little overkill" till I realized that those nearly transfer at 1GB/s alone!

And also, the term "gaming rig" doesn't always mean min-maxing the best gear for the lowest cost. While it would make no sense buying the exact same thing at double the price, paying for bleeding edge tech is far from affordable!

I guess the revised question would be "If Money Wasn't An Object, What Is The Best Bleeding Edge System To Date for A Gamer?" (Updated)

Looking forward to hearing others points of view!
