Running pci 3.0 at 2.0

So I am building my first Pc and I bought the gigabyte gtx 760 and the gigabyte GA-Z78-UD4H as my motherboard. I just realized that MB only has one PCI 2.0 slot but it's running at 4x. My question is, since my CPU Is an i5 4670K and I can't support PCI 3.0 if I put my graphics card in the 3.0 slot will it run at 2.0 x16?

3.0 and 2.0 are backwards compatible so putting the card in the 3.0 slot will work fine, if you have to 2.0 will work but always use the 3.0 slot. All pcie slots and cards are compatible. Plus that processor can run 3.0.

Your CPU SHOULD support 3.0, and if it didn't it would run at 2.0 x16 speeds assuming you're running it in an x16 lane.

Since it is a x16 lane, it doesnt matter if its running at 2.0 or 3.0, it will be running in x16 mode regardless. So it would be faster (Barely, nothing noticeable) than a 2.0 x16 lane because its in an 3.0 x16 slot.
