Hello all, I am wondering if I crossed fired two of the Radon HD 6670 if I will be able to run Grand Theft Auto IV good. I can get them pretty cheap here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/271196005500?ssPageName=STRK:ME...
Or would it just be better to buy one more expensive card?

No. A10-6800K is designed for IGP budget gaming. Even if pairing with HD 6670 its graphic performance isn't as good as imagine. Your IGP (plus HD 6670) could handle GTA IV but won't be in high settings.

May I suggest Phenom II 965 BE with a GTX 650 ti / HD 7770? You spend quite a lot on 6800k, but by subtract $ 60 to get a 965BE and plus $40-60 to get a better card like GTX 650 ti or HD 7770 it would be better off compared with 6800k+HD 6670

you can crossfire one card with the 6800 but not 2.

depending on the performance you are looking for and if the game supports crossfire, you could double some of the fps performance.

I take it you already have the 6800k?.......... please list what hardware you have, monitor/resolution and a real budget.

Yes.

Right now I am just using a extra HDTV that I have as a monitor.
My maximum budget is $250 for a card but I didn't want to spend that much if I didn't have too.

OK. Since u have a A10-6800k and if u don't want to waste the IGP. Go for a HD 6670 GDDR 5, that would maximize the Dual Graphics performance.

I don't know whether HD 7750 could pair with 8670D (there is rumor of that). But putting the IGP aside u could get a HD 7770/ HD 7850 for better gaming but will waste the IGP (The IGP is even ore powerful than HD 6670 DDR3)

somewhere along the line get another stick of ram. you'll get better performance in dual channel mode.

buy 1 card and see how crossfire goes with the apu.

buying 2 cards ( the performance ) would be pretty similar as crossfiring with the apu.......... so save that money............ maybe use it for that extra stick of ram?

or you could get a 2gig 7850 and get better performance up front.

So the HD 7870 won't pair with the IGP? That's what I ended up getting.

no, it won't pair with it but the performance will be better as a stand alone card. You made the right choice.
