Okay, I know this is probably a simple question, but how do I re-install Windows 7?

I want to format everything on my hard drive and clean re-install Windows 7, so is there a certain way I should do this? First time doing this and I don't want to mess up anything.

Solution
Be sure to backup all the data you wish to keep on to a different hard drive or a different partition. Optimally, to make sure there's no way you can accidentally erase it, copy it to a different computer or to an external drive.

Afterwards, all you need to do is insert the windows 7 installation CD and reboot. Select "Custom" whenever it's asked whether or not you're upgrading, format the partition on which the OS was currently installed, and re-install it there.

Once you format it, by the way, there's no going back. Make sure all the files you wish to keep were backed up somewhere other than the C: partition.
