Here's my build: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/WillDano/saved/1Yp7

I'm not bad with computers but sound cards are one of the only things that I don't know much about.

I want something good and cheap, doesn't exceed $40 or something around that price because I've already passed my budget on this build.

Your help is appreciated!

P.S. I'm using this computer for 3D animations, Video Editing, and Gaming.

You really don't need a soundcard, and your PSU was somewhat overkill. An SSD will make a big difference to how snappy your build is.

EDIT: Strangely, the Extreme6 is cheaper than the Extreme4. Updated.

I think you do need sound card with that asrock mobo. It do have really good sound system.
Look here : http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z87%20Extreme4/

But you can get good mobo and soundcard cheaper. Just buy his mobo: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-gaz87...
+ that xonar sound card.

Thanks, but do you really think that a 550W PSU is enough for the GTX 770? Shouldn't I go up to a 650w just to be safe?

No real need for 650w if plan is to SLI in future then 750w but 550w good PSU is enough for that build.
It takes about 220w when you game with that build. Plenty room for OC and other stuff.
And that 550w psu gives over 600w to full load. If you ever need so much wattage.
