my netgear has internet access but i cant use internet unless i phisically plug the enhert cable in before i have internet. my computer is showing that it sees netgear when i connected it but i have no wireless acces

Remove your wif connection from the computer, there should be a "forget" button. Then re-connect to your wifi signal. If that did not fix it, reboot the router, if that did not fix, it, try a different security type for wifi. If this never worked, your wifi card could be an older one that is not compatible with newer wifi standards. You could also try to find newer wireless card drivers.

Agree with all of this. Also, check your Device Manager (prior to updating Wireless Driver) to see if it reporting any Wireless Driver issues.
