Ok follow me on this one, I am running 3 monitors on 2 radeon HD 6950 2 GB cards. I was sitting down listening to a podcast when all of a sudden there was no sound! so i got up and saw that all 3 monitors were black and the computer had pretty much shut down. So i restarted the machine and nothing would appear on the screens. I figured it was my TOXIC card since it gets crap tons of use so i pulled it out and re hooked up the machine. Still nothing. I swapped the slot of the remaining card and still nothing. I am at a complete loss. My only other thought is either the Mobo died or a friend of a friend suggested possibly the psu has failed or both cards died at the same time.

Does anyone have any suggestions at all?

Than you,
Lilrex

Most new motherboards have power good and fault led or post led. See if the power good led is on and all your fans are moving. Most time a full shut off is a pc loosing a leg on the power supply. You need a power supply tester or volt meter to read the voltage output on the power supply or a test unit. If the power supply under warranty see if the vendor will do an advance cross ship.
