I am looking into a new video card for my younger brother as he is getting into PC gaming. He recently got this barebone kit.

GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AMD 9 Series Motherboard - ATX, Socket AM3+, AMD 990FX Chipset, 2000MHz DDR3 (O.C.), SATA 6.0 Gb/s, RAID, 7.1-CH Audio, Gigabit LAN, SuperSpeed USB 3.0, CrossFireX/SLI Ready

AMD FD6100WMGUSBX FX-6100 Processor - Six Core, 8MB L3 Cache, 6MB L2 Cache, 3.30GHz

Kingston HyperX Red KHX16C10B1R/8 8GB Memory Module - 1600MHz, 10-10-10, DDR3, CL10, 1.5V, Unbuffered

XFX Radeon HD 6570 HD657XZDF2 Video Card - 1GB, GDDR3, PCI-Express 2.1, 1x Dual-link DVI-I, 1x VGA, 1x HDMI, DirectX 11, Single-Slot, Fan

Thermaltake TR-500 TR2 ATX Power Supply - 500W, 120mm Fan, Active PFC

He is want to play GTA4, saints row3, TF2. I would like to get him something that can run these games at high settings, And here is my pc, its old...
680i sli mobo, intel q6600 OC to 3.3, 4 gig ram, thermaltake toughpower 850 watt psu, and SLI GTX 550ti.
My two 550 ti's pretty much run all these games solid, and here is the question.
Should i toss him my 2 GTX 550ti and upgrade to a single card for my pc? or should i just get him a single card for his PC since it is newer, and if so what cards?? or something SLI or xfire for him? Trying to stay under $300.00 USD.

Solution
The GTX 760 is a solid card and at $260 is the best card for the money, at present. His PSU wouldn't be able to run SLI so there's no way you can give him your 550tis. I would grab him a 760 - he'll be able to max out all the games you listed, and even get high/ultra settings on games like Battlefield and Crysis 3. My vote goes for the EVGA ACX cooler. EVGAs warranty is second to none and that cooler works wonders. However, it seems to be sold out of quite a few US sites, so if you can't find it then the Gigabyte Windforce R2 version is, in my opinion, your next best option.:)
