it is, but why would you bother? have you seen it's price? and have you read the reviews? you can get a couple of top of the range core i7, both ivy bridge and haswell for that price, and both processors will outperform, sometimes by a fair margin. amd is a dead duck on the desktop, the only real business they are having these days is in the portable and ultraportable segment, where their slower compute cores do not matther so much, but on the other hand, their integrated radeon cores outperform anything intel can provide with their own integrated graphics.
